Your sponsors

Physiotherapy Conference 2022 wish to acknowledge and thank the sponsors listed below, without whom the conference would not be possible.

Gold sponsor | ACC

ACC help prevent injuries and get New Zealanders and visitors back to everyday life if they’ve had an accident.

We touch the lives of a large number of New Zealanders. The health, rehabilitation and service providers who help people who are injured, the businesses, vehicle owners and workers who contribute to the Scheme, and any New Zealander or visitor to New Zealand who's injured in an accident.

Our vision is to create a unique partnership with every New Zealander, improving their quality of life by minimising the incidence and impact of injury.

Silver sponsor | ASICS

ASICS, the acronym, is derived from the Latin phrase, “Anima Sana In Corpore Sano” which translates to “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body.”

Over 70 years ago, Mr Kihachiro Onitsuka was looking for a way to provide hope to children in post-war Japan. He settled on making shoes as he knew that sport had the ability to bring hope and lift spirits. His original shoe company, Onitsuka Co. Ltd., would go on to merge with two other companies in 1977, officially creating the ASICS brand that we all know today. At ASICS we are committed to building health and happiness in both mind and body and truly value our partnerships and associations that help support us in achieving that.

Together, we care | Ka manaaki tahi tatou

We’re privileged to partner with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to help more Kiwi’s and whanau participate in life.

In recent years, New Zealand’s health system has come under unprecedented pressure. With a rapidly aging population, increases in obesity, funding inequities, growing waitlists for surgeries and specialist care, a global pandemic and chronic staff shortages across the board – it’s clear that Aotearoa needs innovative health solutions and expertise from Kiwi companies like ours now more than ever before.

Our aspiration is to work alongside our partners to help ensure that all New Zealanders have access to the best health outcomes. We know that our work makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives and their stories inspire us to continue our mission.

Are you thinking about postgraduate study?

The AUT physiotherapy department is hosting a lunchtime kōrero (12:45 pm Friday 8th September) at this year’s PNZ Conference for anyone considering postgraduate study. Whether you want to enhance your clinical reasoning, increase your subject or research knowledge or lay the foundation for career promotion or progression, AUT’s postgraduate courses provide a wide range of options tailored to your needs and interests.

In this session, we will introduce you to the postgraduate course framework to demonstrate how seamless your PG study can be at AUT and showcase some of our pathways, expert teachers, and research. Additionally, you will meet some postgraduate staff and students, many of whom are presenting their kaupapa at the conference.

There will be a chance to ask questions and discuss your plans with staff, and we will welcome your feedback and suggestions.
